Winter Destination New York City

Central Park, NYC after a snow storm

On Friday we had NO SNOW at all.  Saturday Central Park and the streets of New York are covered under a thick white blanket. The noise of the city is gone.  Walking in the park feels like being alone. There is nobody around. It is hard to believe that I am in the middle of a city with millions of people.  It feels like being in a winter resort.

Just around the corner I find happy children, dogs and parents sliding down hills. It is wonderful – the sound of playing children …… and when you have enough,  just walk a short distance and you’ll find tree branches covered with snow softly dancing in the light wind.

Snow turns New York City into a beautiful, quiet city. Men and women are relaxed with happy faces. I guess all the crazy, stressed, and nervous individuals cannot stand it – they stay at home.

I wish we could have many more snowy days in New York City. We should all enjoy every moment of it.
