Professional Photo Shoot in NYC

September 25, 2011By 1

What a day! How often do you walk around New York City with your camera, a wide-angle, and long lens, and shoot something other than Times Square, the city from the Empire State Building, and crazy busy streets?

What you will see here is a professional photo shoot. Ramona and Benjamin, from Switzerland, both professional photographers, came to New York to take different photos of NYC. During the shoot Nikon was represented twice (Benjamin and me) and Canon tried to shine as well.

The day started at 11am in a Brooklyn apartment. Mascha and Petra were our models. While Veronika, our make-up artist, worked on the models and Sabrina, the apparel & accessories professional, choose the clothes, we discussed the 4 different locations for the shooting: 2 in Brooklyn Heights and 2 in Manhattan.

At noon we were ready to go. The weather was just perfect. Helping each other out with Lastolite Difflectors and Reflectors our cameras clicked and clicked happily, mingling with the sound of the city. People passed by and watched. Some took their iPhones and other cameras and took pictures of us ……. or maybe of the model?

At 6pm we used the sunset and deep light to finish the shoot with a big smile on our faces. Everybody had a great time and the models were absolutely incredible. Even after all those long hours of modelling, they showed no sign of being tired.

We later heard that the model’s agency was pleased with the results and they have it on their portfolio.
